This hotel enjoys a long history, as the original Kurhaus am Burgsee was formerly a sugar factory, transformed in 1851 into a hotel. Today it offers outpatient facilities for physiotherapy as well as a clinic for patients suffering from scoliosis. It is possible for guests to use the indoor swimming pool of the nearby Park Clinic free of charge.

Food & beverage

Our stylish Kurhaus Restaurant offers a unique and breathtaking view of the picturesque Burgsee Lake and serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and coffee as well as dinner. Come and enjoy regional Thuringian cuisine as well as international and Mediterranean fare. Opening times: Monday - Saturday from 11:00 to 23:00 Sundays from 10:00 to 23:00 Hot food is served from 11:30 to 22:00 and there is a smaller menu served from 14:00 to 18:00 On Sundays we serve a large brunch buffet from 10:00 to 14:00

You will find all sorts of leisure activities and day trip destinations in the region, such as the Bad Salzunger Celtic Baths, the interactive mine works, Wartburg Castle and the Bach House Museum in Eisenach and much more. There are many canoeing routes as well as hiking and cycling paths in the surrounding area to explore.
