Area information

Central but yet quiet hotel. Short travel time to all destinations in the Rhine–Main region via the motorways A3, A45, and A66. The old town of Steinheim is only a 3-minute’ walk away and offers picturesque half-timbered houses and many restaurants. Steinheim is also starting point of the renowned Apple Wine Route of Hesse ("Apfelweinstrasse"). For active and more sportive guests we provide hotel-own rental bicycles; golf courses and public swimming pools are available in direct proximity. Lovers of culture will appreciate the museums and theatres of the nearby "Brothers Grimm Town" of Hanau.

Travel information

Coming from the motorway A3 direction Frankfurt or coming from Würzburg, take the exit Hanau (B43) in direction Fulda. Exit at Hanau-Steinheim ("Altstadt" – old town); Hanau – Klein – Auheim. Further into direction Steinheim. From the A45 and A66 follow direction Dieburg (B43) at the junction Hanau. Take the exit Hanau-Steinheim ("Altstadt" – old town); Hanau – Klein – Auheim. Further into direction Steinheim. By public transportation: Take the S-Bahn S8 from Frankfurt to Hanau and get off at Steinheim or Hanau central station ("Hauptbahnhof"). From there take a taxi or the busses no. 4 or 12 to "Darmstädter Strasse" or "Obertor".

Some rooms have views of the garden. The Hotel Birkenhof's restaurant prepares a breakfast each morning. Lunch is served here throughout the week. Dinner is served only on weekdays.
